On this blog I've mostly been posting all-encompassing things. Panoramic views, overall thoughts and plans. Here's a little peak into the bits and pieces that have shown themselves along my trek.
Cacti

(L) Cholla Teddy Bear Cactus: looks fuzzy, feels prickly (don't touch!)
(C) Some kind of cactus flower: pretty flowers along the trails in Phoenix, so many
(R) Some other kind of cactus flower: see above
Mountain Friends

(L) Squirrel: Top of the peak friend, really wanted some of the salmon jerky I was eating, I obliged...
(C) Brian: 1 of 2 friends we made sharing a campsite in the Grand Canyon; strong advocate of the trail beer
(R) Cute old couple: I'm a creeper and took a photo of this old couple who couldn't stop hugging at the top of this rock
Lines

(L) Lake Mead: How cool is this?! If you don't know, this is the lake that is dammed by the Hoover dam
(C) Tan Lines: the sun is a cruel mistress
(R) Croissants: Unf buttery flaky layers of delicious goodness
Campsites

(L) S'mores: Carnivores/everyone rejoice! I was left with a bag of marshmallows and tried consuming them
(C) Yosemite campsite: All the best for camping, clearance Fancy Pants wine
(R) Canyonlands campsite: Shot from inside my car because of multiple rainstorms
Eats

(L) MRE: the nearly lowest on the food scale, "vegetarian lasagna" equated to spaghetti-Os with pinto beans
(C) Less than 2" lobster roll: the nearly highest on the food scale, this itty bitty lobster roll (chips in background for scale) went for $12
(R) Chocolate ice cream: you scream, i scream, we all scream CHOCOLATE Ghiraradelli Square in San Fran, chocolate was a must
Nature things

(L) Purple Petals: pretty little find at a farmer's market in San Fran
(C) Pinecone: The biggest cone I've ever seen, shoes for scale
(R) Green Crawlie: This little dude didn't care that I was packing up my trunk and just crawled all over my car
Signs

(L) Another San Fran find
(C) Korbel: Champagnery isn't a word but I will make it one.
(R) Ghiradelli Square: see above for ice cream
